It's taken time for the Daily to mature to the point where I feel pleased with the content we publish regularly, but with the staff we've assembled this semester, and as I've become more aware of the process each article goes through on its journey to a page, I've gained greater appreciation for the work students go through to publish each day's paper.
I've chosen to include several layouts and high-resolution PDFs of pages we produced over the course of the fall 2008 semester. I hope you see the work and level of dedication to the product as evidently as I do.

One of the greatest resources to my development in copy editing has been my time spent working at the Daily. On the other hand, my time spent in Nevada, enjoying the company of the kids there and watching them grow, struggle with and face the obstacles that challenge the lives of their friends and of their own has been taught and challenged me in different ways.
